Shoe Tying Clinic
This is a free 45 minute clinic offered once a year by the AboutPlay team. Your child will learn the “Magic Fingers” shoe tying technique. There will be 20 minutes of free play in the sensory gym, in order to get brains and bodies prepared to learn a new skill, and then we will review shoe tying, with several helpers on board to assist. Spots are limited, and sign up is required to secure your child’s space. You may sign more than one child up, space permitted. Ages 5 and up.
Grounding and Clearing
This 90 minute interactive adult class will review principles on and practice grounding and clearing yourself, and a space – such as your home, office, or even car. We will include review of using sage, palo santo, oils, water, sound, light, and visualizations for clearing, and a number of activities that can be done for grounding.
Get ready to learn about essential oils! This 90 minute adult class will review safe and effective use of oils for attention and arousal, as well as for shifting mood. There is research showing how effective scents are for your brain function. In this make-and-take class, you will be able to choose from a wide variety of oils to make an inhaler and a personal roll on oil.
Developing Your Intuition
Have you ever wondered about intuition? This fun and interactive 90 minute adult class will help tap into your intuitive abilities, offer fun game that you can play with your family or friends, and help you to begin to trust your instincts.
Visualization and Energy Tapping for Teens
This 90 minute class will help to introduce a variety of visualization techniques, meditation, and energy tapping for teens to handle stress and anxiety. Situations like public speaking, social situations, social media, and test taking are some examples of the stressors that face teens today, and these types of stress reduction techniques are needed more than ever.
Visualization and Energy Tapping for Adults
This 90 minute class will help to introduce a variety of visualization techniques, meditation, and energy tapping for adults to handle stress and anxiety. In this interactive class, you will learn several skills that you can use to help decrease the toxic amounts of stress hormones that we are living with in our bodies daily, that contribute to dis-ease.
